New 3d modeling hardware with haptics true 3d interface with force feedback that enables designers to feel their 3d models PDF Print E-mail

One innovating company that caught our attention also at RAPID 2011 was senseble 3d. This company manufactures 3d design software and 3d hardware (Phantom Haptic force-feedback device).

The 3d design software Freeform manufacture by senseble is a 3d modeling software that can be use for:

  • 3d modeling complex, organic shapes.
  • Clean up and modify scan data
  • Create textures for prototyping and manufacturing.

The Phantom Haptics also manufacture by senseble is a 3d hardware device that is a true 3d interface with force feedback that enables designers and modelers to use their sense of touch to model a virtual clay just like in real life. This device is similar to a cmm laser scanner arm but this is the size of a pen attached to a balled base. The pen lets you do 3d modeling with sense of touch and haves force feedback that lets you feel the 3d model like virtual clay.
